Boutique hotel in Slovenia
The building of the Slovenian boutique hotel is multifaceted in all aspects: here you can see the play of facade planes and the mix of drastically different styles. The volumes in brick and toned wood is a modern interpretation of classics from minimalistic approach. Natural materials, wooden doors, windows with imposts, cast iron included in the entrance group — they all are connected with an emphatically laconic, cubist forms: the front facade sections do not even have a socle, they seem to be floating above the ground.
The façade rear side is solved quite differently. Traditional materials are replaced with modern ones: structural glazing and concrete texture panels. A bold, broken geometry inspires a futuristic look to this volume. The third floor houses a swimming pool with panoramic windows and access to the roof with a green terrace. The hotel territory is decorated with flowerbeds for trees - their chopped forms cater for geometry of the building to implement a smooth transition from architecture to landscape.
