Chalet in the mountains is an example of a bold architectural experiment, an interesting symbiosis of styles and eras. The building borrowed from a canonical chalet a roof with wide overhangs and wood chip roofing, log snow guards, carved cornices, natural materials-wood and stone. Tranquil Alpine classics is effectively diluted with high-tech inclusions — minimalistic balconies with frameless glass enclosures, stone coating of glass on the chimney and the façade, aluminum compositions of polyline shapes framed with wooden columns and flower beds, and a Jacuzzi on the terrace.

Classics sounds a third voice: baroque chairs on the terrace bring ironic notes into the composition. Here, on the terrace, there is a coffee table, a chandelier, curtains, mosaic tiles on the floor, a twin-sided fireplace: the technique of "interior inside out" brings together the house and its surroundings. This idea is supported by huge stained glass windows: the view from the living room with two tiers of windows looks as if it had been built into the interior – in the manner a clear line between the internal and external space is erased.
