English-style house with high-tech elements

Victorian classics and modern glass architecture — it is difficult to imagine more remote styles, but in this project, they are organically melted. The house is an outcome of reconstruction. The renovated main facade obtained classical English features: hand-formed brick, travertine decor, rustication, gabled roof of slate, and a chimney. Nevertheless, this is only imitation of Victorian buckram style: an extension with a second floor shaped as a glass cube ironically breaks style frameworks. The stylistic experiment is continued by a spa outbuilding with a steam room and a gym.

In order not to visually overload the yard, it was built of glass and supplemented with classic balconies seemingly floating against a transparent wall. Landscape solutions are genuinely unique: a fence with gates is a mix of traditional cast iron and minimalist elements of wood and glass. A fence separating the yard from the neighboring area is made of terraced flowerbeds: a dynamic green composition replaces a monotonous wall. The overall lightness of the landscape is supported by asymmetrical canopies of wooden "ribs" covered with glass. On the teak terrace near the pool references to classics emerge again: an outrageous chandelier on a tripod and a grill made of antique brick with stamps of imperial manufactories.
